Welcome to the month that was for real estate in Hawthorne CA. The number of homes that sold dropped considerably from the prior month with only 12 homes selling in Hawthorne during October which was a really low number. Compare that to the more typical 22 in September.
According to Hawthorne real estate specialist Keith Kyle, this is the lowest number of sales we’ve seen in over 3 years.
The average “list” price was $965,167 with the average sold price at $940,687 meaning that the homes that sold generally sold below the list price. We also saw a number of price reductions..
The average price per foot was $657 with the average days on market 32 which was slightly below the 34 in the prior two months.

While the real estate market in Hawthorne CA has been a bit slow but certainly steady, the gated community of Three Sixty in the Hollyglen neighborhood has been historically slow. Up until a few weeks ago there hadn’t been a listing for months. Currently there are three homes for sale and they range from the smallest layouts to one of the largest 3 bedroom layouts. Today we wanted to bring to your attention the newest listing to hit the market.
Although it’s not our listing we’re happy to report that there is another townhome for sale to hit the market in this great community. Take a look at the homes currently for sale in Fusion South Bay.
5506 149th Place #4 is of of the larger 2 bedroom layouts and is an E townhome style floorplan offering 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bath. This popular layout features a traditional floorplan with a 1st floor living room with a few steps up to the dining and kitchen areas as well as a 1/2 bath. It’s a pleasure to report on a new listing in the gated community of Fusion South Bay. This is one of the 2 gated communities in the Hollyglen neighborhoods of Hawthorne.
There has been very few homes on the market lately and it’s nice to see something hit the market tht’s well priced. 5400 W 149th #11 is a very nicely updated and well maintained “A layout”(click to see floorplan) listed by Rina Culligan of Bayside. The “A” style home is the smallest layout in the community and priced accordingly. Welcome to the month that was for real estate in Hawthorne CA. The average prices dropped a bit but home sales were still impressive for the month.
The average “list” price was $931,209 with the average sold price at $925,145 compared with a very impressive August average of $1,006,574 so prices dropped a bit last month.
The average price per foot was $669 with the average days on market 34 which was almost identical to August.
We are happy to report that one of the sales was ours as we represented the buyer on 12920 Central #301 in Three Sixty South Bay.
