The gated community in Hawthorne CA, one of the premier gated communities in all of the South Bay, had another solid year in terms of home sales. There were 29 homes sold in the calendar year at an average price of $1,101,586. The market slowed quite a bit after the summer but numbers were impressive.

Hawthorne has a number of great options for those looking to be in a gated community.  Some of the more prevalent communities are Three Sixty South Bay, Fusion South Bay, Parkside Village and a number of other small complexes.  The most well know is 360 and the recent home to hit the market in this gated community  is one of the larger single level condos in the “Flats”.  13124 Central Ave # 302 is a  “residence 6″ floorplan with a beautiful open layout and over 1600 sq feet. **

It was a busy month for closed home sales in Hawthorne CA with 31 closed sales during August.Parkside Village community room

The average “list” price was $849,445 with the average sold price at $864,061 meaning that, in general, homes sold higher than the list price. The average price per foot was $697 and average days on market was a very short 24 before going into escrow.

Real Estate in the Gated Community of Parkside Village Hawthorne

Welcome to real estate in the gated community of Parkside Village in Hawthorne California.  This is one of the newer construction communities in the city having been built in 2014 and is a great alternative to more well known gated complexes of Fusion and Three Sixty South Bay.  Located near the corner of 120th St and Van Ness, this gated community offers freestanding homes (no shared walls) with great square footage.

Built between 2014 and 2015 this gated community consists of  176 freestanding homes.  The majority of the homes are 4 bedroom (originally built as 3 bedroom plus office or 2nd living room) with some additional units being 3 bedroom (again originally built as 2 bedroom with an optional 3rd).  All of the homes have some outdoor yard space off of the first floor.  The community is located very close to SpaceX and So Fi Stadium in northeast  Hawthorne.

As the homes are fairly new they generally have the bells and whistles of new construction including granite countertops, central air and heat, recessed lighting, open layouts and newer finishes.

The community amenities include gated entry with intercom and directory entry,  a very nice clubhouse, outdoor exercise stations, small playground and a beautiful pool area.  As of 2022 HOA fees are quite low at approximately $200 a month.
