One of the lesser known gated communities in Hawthorne is the complex called Traditions At the Greens near Hollypark Hawthorne. Not only has this been a great community since it’s inception, but with the area booming due to companies like Space X and SoFi Stadium just up the road, the area is far more known and sought after.

Traditions at the Greens is called that due to the fact that its nestled in the confines of the Chester Washington Golf Course. Streets are named after famous golf courses such as Saint Andrews, Agusta and Glen Eagles.
The community consists of 108 free standing homes of various sizes and layouts. Some of the homes back up to El Segundo Blvd or Van Ness so road noise is a factor and values are usually lower on those homes. The bulk of the homes lie in the center with about 30 of the homes actually overlooking the golf course.
Layouts and sizes can range from 2 bed 2 bath homes with just over 1,100 square feet to 4 bed 3 bath homes with over 1,800 square feet. As they are all free standing (no shared walls) homes each has some nice outdoor area and each has an attached garage.
The community was built in 1995 so most homes have a, somewhat, newer feel.
Monthly HOA fees are very low at under $100, but the community doesn’t really have any amenities to speak of.
