What a month it was for home sales in Hawthorne CA with 43 on market property sales closing in October.  The average “list” price was $837,828 with theHawthorne homes for sale average “sold” price at $854,422 meaning that homes generally sold higher than the asking price.  Median days on market was a very short 15 before going into escrow and the average price per foot was $619. 3 Bedroom In Fusion To Show If Market Has Really Gone Crazy

**Please not that this is an old post.  This home was pulled off of the market back in 2022 but was again for sale in 2024.  See the newest listing for 5509 W 149th Pl #6.

The newest, and currently only, home for sale in the gated community of Fusion South Bay is price very aggressively and the question is whether the market value is anywhere near the list price.  It’s been an incredible real estate market in Fusion, with near record sales with just about ever new listing.  The latest lsitign of 5509 2w 149th Pl #6 is really going to show whether the market has just about no limits. Priced at $1,100,000 and given that the previous highest price a 3 bedroom has sold for  was the recent sale of 5402 #7 at $998,000 this latest listing will really push the market.

With another 3 bedroom (g floorplan) priced at $949,000 and in escrow it’s definitely a challenge.

The J layout is the larger of the 2 three bedroom layouts with a listed 1,790 square feet (builder records indicate 1,790 feet…..tax records show 1,660….this is the same for all of the J units and not uncommon for condos).      As with all Fusion homes this one has air conditioning and is in the award winning Wiseburn School District.  This home is in very great condition with a beautiful kitchen and  some nice upgrades.  Fusion is located just east of Manhattan Beach in the Hawthorne neighborhood of Hollyglen.

August Home Sales and Property Prices in Hawthorne CA

Hawthorne CA home sales were definitely impressive in August of 2020.  There were 37 home sales in Hawthorne during the month which was certainly a big number.  It was the highest number of home sales since June of 2019.  See our Hawthorne CA real estate trends and statistics page to better understand where the real estate market is heading.

The median “asking” price during the month was $790,000 with the median “sold” price at $795,000 meaning that, in general, homes sold higher than the list price indicating a very strong market favoring sellers. The average price per foot was $521 and the average days on market was only 22 with the median being 7!

17 of the homes that sold were in the Hollyglen/Del Aire neighborhoods and median prices were once again strongly impacted  by the home sales in Three Sixty South Bay.  There were 7 sales in the gated community during August at a median price of $885,000.
