19 Home Sales in Hawthorne at Impressive $1,073,000 Average

Welcome to the Hawthorne Real Estate Report for May 2024El Camino Village homes

May was another impressive month with 19 homes selling.  It was a slight drop from the really busy 24 sales in April but well up from only 13 in March and 16 in February.

The average “list” price was $1,061,684 with the average sold price at $1,073,030 which was way over the $948,073 in April and even up from the peak of $1,060,269 in March.  It’s definitely still a seller’s market.

The average price per foot was $663 which was a below the March average price per foot.  Homes averaged a brief 38 days on market before selling.

The top sale of the month was a large 2,700+ single family at 5420 W 140th Street that sold for $1,600,000.  Two of the homes that sold were in the gated community of Three Sixty in the neighborhood of Hollyglen.

Welcome to the real estate recap for home sales in Hawthorne CA last month.  It was a bit on the slow side with only 16 homes closing escrow. This slower market was pretty typical at the moment for other South Bay cities as well.

The average “list” price was $914,837 with the average sold price at $900,538 meaning homes generally sold below the list price.

The average price per foot was $601 with the average days on market 66 and rising.

What Does 2022 Hold in Store for Hawthorne Real Estate?

2021 was quite a year for real estate and home sales in Hawthorne. Record prices, incredible buyer demand and low interest rates made for a busy year. 2022 doesn’t look to be much different and we’re anticipating another year of record sales and record home prices. Much will be determined by the housing inventory and whether more home sellers in Hawthorne decide to list and sell their homes. As of 1/11 there are only 17 homes for sale in Hawthorne CA and unless that increases dramatically it’s going to be another great year for sellers and an even tougher year for buyers.

What a month it was for home sales in Hawthorne CA with 43 on market property sales closing in October.  The average “list” price was $837,828 with theHawthorne homes for sale average “sold” price at $854,422 meaning that homes generally sold higher than the asking price.  Median days on market was a very short 15 before going into escrow and the average price per foot was $619.
