The average days on market was a short 30 and the median home sales prices was $768,000 again being strongly influenced by sales in the gated community of Three Sixty South Bay which had 9 of the 33 homes. The lowest priced home during the month was a smaller 2 bedroom condo selling at $318,900 with the highest price sale of the month at $1,234,999 for a four bedroom single family style Terrace home in Three Sixty South Bay. The market was heavily influenced by the gated community of 360 with a stunning 10 home sales during the month.

August was a solid month for home sales in the city of Hawthorne in the South Bay of Los Angeles. The median list price for the months was $699,000 and the median sales price was $700,000 indicating that it’s still a strong sellers market at the moment. The lowest sale of the month was $330,000 for a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo with the highest sale of the month being a whopping $1,180,000 for a 4 bedroom, 1700+ foot single family home on Clyde Park in the neighborhood of Hollyglen. Pretty unbelievable! Surprisingly none of the homes that sold in August were located in the gated community of 36o South Bay which often drives overall home values up a bit.
