Welcome to the wonderful neighborhood of the Hollywood Riviera at the base of the Palos Verdes Peninsula in the South Bay. This is an area with a Redondo Beach mailing address but actually resides in Torrance, with Torrance services and Torrance Schools.
As the Riviera consists primarily of reasonable size single family homes built after WW2 the neighborhood is unlike many of the surrounding areas. There is a Torrance ordinance in place that restricts blocking other homes views known as the Hillside Overlay District, so there are fewer giant mansion type properties (although more all the time)
